Divide 18 kids into 2 9's red and blue. Each take a side of the pitch.

red is offense, blue is defense.

3 vs. 3 offense should kick off

LW CF RW

LB RB

   K

Red starts with the ball from their touch line. Blue in defense position in their half.

Red builds from the back with at least 2 passes in their own half and proceeds into Blue space.

Blue defends in their half and tries to tackle the ball or kick the ball away of back into Red space.

If Blue kicks it out or into Red space quit. Next 6 kids to play.

If Red shoots/scores quit and --- next 6 kids play.

Variant... Offense Defense Offense

Red build from their touchline.

Blue defends but instead of clearing --- counter attack --- so Red changes to Defense line up and Blue changes to offense line up.

Tack this drill on after the dribble, pass and shoot --- between the 3 teams of six. Where a select 6 kids play orange. By first dividing in half we can get a better sense in how to divide them into 3rds.
